Bona Fide Auto Collision was founded in 1970 by Carmine Napolitano. Carmine had a passion for NHRA drag race cars, and when he wasn’t racing them, he learned fabrication and custom painting. As the years passed, Bona Fide Auto began doing collision work and painting. The company has over 35 years of professional experience in all phases of the auto collision industry and enjoys a great reputation from local Long Islanders and surrounding states and a wide variety of celebrities who have entrusted us with their vehicles.
Meeting a continued demand, Bona Fide entered the arena of custom car and bike painting and has continually excelled over the years with a wide variety of custom rebuild and restoration products for various high end makes and models.
Bona Fide employs state-of-the-art frame straightening systems, urethane paint systems, and a computerized spray booth keeping up with the changing technology of the auto body industry. Bona Fide deals with ALL major insurance companies.
Patrick Napolitano (Carmine’s son) has been working at Bona Fide since high school and has inherited his father's strong work ethic, love of cars, and talent for custom painting. Patrick has used his artistic skills to take over all the custom paintwork and custom bike fabrication in our new state of the art spray booth.
One of the fabricated and custom paint jobs that Bona Fide takes the most pride in was a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro owned by NHRA fuel funny car driver Tony Bartone which was prominently featured in an issue of Popular Hot Rodding Magazine (View Article).
